WEARING
It had been a rough week that could only be cured by shopping. And drinking- to an alcoholic, at least. Before she went to the club that night, Victoria decided to go shopping and see what she could find on sale. She'd lost her job but she still had enough savings to last her for awhile. Her studies were also failing horribly but she wouldn't admit that it was because of her drinking. Events had been a blur so she wasn't sure why her mother and Lawson weren't talking to her much anymore. She was unaware of the night she'd called Lawson up asking for money when she was horribly drunk and Lawson had told Ellen not to talk to Victoria for awhile after that. Her alcoholism was getting worse so quickly everyday and there was nothing she could do to stop it since she didn't want help yet. But worst of all? Her friends had stopped talking to her, too. After the whole innocent with Diana finding her in her dorm destroying everything in a rage and after her begging Alex to get her alcohol, well her friends had decided to disengage. Fine. So be it.
As she made her way into one of her favorite clothing stores, a face she saw out of the corner of her eye made her stop dead in her tracks and do a double take. It felt like the floor had dropped twenty feet and the whole mall seemed to be reeling. Was that Gabriel? No, it couldn't be. What was he doing here? As she looked, though, she saw that it was most definitely him. It was crowded in the mall today so she had to fight her way through, almost wanting to turn around and run a few times. She didn't know what to say to Gabriel, but something was pulling her over to him. Anger boiled inside of her as she walked up to him and glared. "What are you doing here?" She asked bitterly before she had a chance to stop herself.
