Baby blue eyes lit up like the night sky, her mother's green-with-envy eyes watching her every move. She was an uptown girl, princess of the upper east side. Darling, she was a classic and you better take notice. The pretty painting's pride and joy, her dear little truffle all dolled up in chestnut. Mirror image of Lady Leech, dappled to perfection. She was a mere one year of age, growing bigger each day. Feminine curves had yet to develop, but the dashing dear wouldn't worry her pretty little head quite yet. Her body would develop and she would put even her mothers to shame, this much she was sure of.
"COME ALONG, LITTLE NIGHTSHADE."
The stern, wispy voice of her mother caused her to hurry, small stilettos clicking and clacking up a storm in an attempt to catch up to the chocolate sensation. The cavern mouths approached and soon, they were swallowed up. Candles lit the dark space and her mother led the way, blue eyes following the candlelit form of the painting. They soon stopped in a room and she had never seen so many jewels. They littered the floor, boudoir, and hanging chandelier, most of the glowing room covered with various pieces of jewelry. She was in awe and her mother knew it, the look of pride adorning her face nicely.
"DOES THE NIGHTSHADE ENJOY THE PAINTING'S TRINKETS?"
Alana Somniare nodded her pretty head, the ghost of a smile lighting up her face. The chocolate lady smiled, satisfied, and then turned, ghosties following her without question. The chestnut girl watched them with interest before movement in the corner of her eye caused her to turn her head. There, in the corner of the room, was a small creature. Its cellophane body moved and she stood there, transfixed on its small form. With the body of a wolf and the wings of a dragon, it was an odd looking thing but she found it so charming. She dubbed it Grendel and waved it goodbye as it fluttered away, blowing a sweet as sugar kiss to the fading figure. She had an inkling she would be seeing Grendel again and with one last glance in that direction, she turned to her mother and her light pink dusted lips formed into a wicked grin.
"NO WELCOMING PARTY WITH DELECTABLE GOWNS AND CHARMING MASKS?"[/ul]
