BIRTHDAY March 10th
OVERALL APPEARANCE
Cordelia is a rather petite girl. Originally having an already decently small frame, it was made only smaller by hormones. At a not-so-imposing 5’3” in height, and an equally unimposing 105 lbs in weight, it is easily apparent that Cordelia is rather small. She has green eyes and reddish-brown hair that she dyes and styles every so often, probably the one main part of her that indulges in this type of action most frequently. She tends to wear her hair on the longer side, either curly, straight, or occasionally growing out bangs. Her hair will be dyed anywhere from a light red to a dark brown, mostly depending on how she wants it.
Cordelia is very quiet and shy, which shows in her posture. While she’s not a big sloucher, she’s also not one for sitting up straight, instead preferring to keep her head down in hopes of not being noticed.
Cordelia’s manner of dress is also very simple. She loves girl’s clothes, first and foremost. Although she won’t wear super short dresses and skirts or any type of skimpy clothing (mostly out of fear of her secret being found out), but she’ll wear most any girls clothes in most any color. She does prefer dresses and longer skirts over jeans and tank tops, but will wear just about anything that isn’t too revealing.

PERSONALITY
Cordelia is a rather quiet girl. She’s not the biggest fan of socializing or talking, and tries her best to avoid large groups if she can avoid it. In a group project in class, she’d more than likely be the one who everyone else would delegate doing all the work. And she’d happily accept if it meant that she wouldn’t get sucked into any high school drama. She prefers to keep to herself or her few friends that she has, though those are very far and few in between.
Aside from that, she’s a very motivated girl. She wants to succeed in life as best as possible, and pushes herself to do so. This also leads into her being quite a bit of a competitive person, as she wants to do her best and remains constantly motivated by it.
Despite her motivation or maybe even what kick-started it is her emotional scars. Due to being born in the wrong body, Cordelia has been depressed for a good portion of her life, and despite that now being fixed, and despite being much happier now than she used to be, she still gets very emotional and upset at times due to that very fact.
Cordelia absolutely hates bigotry of all types, and it would probably be the one thing to really get her riled up. While she probably won’t speak up about it or yell at anyone, she’ll definitely be a bright red from anger, something that would definitely be noticeable from someone who is usually as quiet and out of the way as she is.
She can also be a very insecure person. Due to who she is and her history, she’s very insecure around most girls and women, getting flustered easily due to not believing that she is as good as them, as well as getting jealous pretty easy. This is mostly an inward jealousy stemming from appearances, but a jealousy nonetheless.
She also manages to find release in video games. She’s normally and generally a pretty calm girl, but these still help her find some solace in things when she needs it most.
HISTORY
Cordelia Sophia Ross was originally born Marshall Thomas Ross, son to Marian Ross, a home maker and Alex Ross, a businessman, in Manhattan, New York. She lived the majority of her life as a boy, and in relative normalcy, for the first nine or so years of her life seeing nothing wrong with her being a boy. She participated in little league, hung out with friends, attended grade school and was a good student, all as was normal and would’ve been expected of her. All in all, despite being in a middle class, if not upper middle class family at very best, she was a very fortunate girl. She was an only child to two loving parents who cared about her very much; everything seemed to be looking very up for her.
Things for Cordelia, however, started to turn south by the age of ten. Shortly after her 10th birthday, things didn’t feel right with her. She didn’t feel right. A few weeks went on with her more or less questioning herself, and a few months after her 10th birthday, right around the middle of June, she started to become more and more clear about the idea that would end up changing her entire life: that she wasn’t in the right body. It took her a few more months, up until about September, until the realization started to become clearer to her: that she was a girl in a boy’s body.
She kept this realization a secret for a long time, up until almost her 12th birthday. She didn’t want to cause too much potential grief for her family, especially not knowing how her parents would take their son saying , “Mom, dad, I’m pretty sure I’m a girl.”. However, at her birthday dinner with her parents, unable to keep it in any longer, blurted that very sentence out. Her parents were shocked, and for a few weeks weren’t even sure what Cordelia meant by that very sentence. However, her parents read up on it more and started to realize what she meant. Even after discovering their son was now really their daughter, they were still relatively uneasy about the idea, but accepted her and who she was—though slightly hesitantly.
At the age of 13, for her 13th birthday present, she was able to start hormones and begin her transition to becoming female. Due to not even really starting puberty yet, transition went very smoothly for her, and she was able to pass as a female relatively quickly. She ended up moving to Rhode Island to attend Wentworth Academy both in order for her to be at a new school where people wouldn’t know about who she used to be, and due to her father getting a new job in the area. She’s been going to Wentworth Academy ever since, with no one yet knowing about her secret.

Kayo looked at Kat, nodding at her comment about Los Angeles. ”I bet. I mean, maybe it’s just me, but people sort of seem… on edge here, I guess. I mean, in reality Tokyo was just about the same but I guess it just wasn’t something I noticed as easily. I’m sure every big city is in this state right now,” she said, her voice drifting off a bit, looking down as she bit the inside of her cheek slightly. ”But I’m definitely looking forward to going around the city more. I’m sure I haven’t even seen a quarter of what there is to see here,” she said, laughing a bit and now brightening up from her previous comment. As the waitress returned with their drinks, Kayo looked up, ”Thank you,” she said, once again offering a rather sweet smile to the waitress as she took a drink of water, looking over and watching as Kat took a drink of her own coffee.
She quickly nodded when Kat offered for Kayo to look her up, ”Oh, yeah of course! Totally!” she said, smile still on her face. ”I mean, I’ve spent a lot of time at the big spots in the city, and I’m sure I wouldn’t have found this place if it wasn’t for you,” she added. ”I only really have one person with me though. My parents and my manager didn’t want my coming here to be too conspicuous or anything. I guess they probably had the right idea since barely anyone has managed to really find out who I am,” she said, shrugging slightly again. ”I’m definitely up for keeping in touch with you though. I know I haven’t known you all too long, but you seem pretty cool so far. And it would be nice to have a friend who knows Los Angeles so well,” she said with a slight nod, mostly to herself.
At the mention of Kat loving coffee, Kayo looked down at her glass of water before taking another sip. ”I can’t say I’ve ever had coffee. I’ve always lived a pretty regimented life ever since I became a celebrity. My mom and manager really kept a close eye on my diet. Guess I haven’t really changed at all since I came here,” she mused, adding a slight laugh after she spoke.
