Jamie's life over the past year had been pretty boring. All she did was teach and go to her doctor when her leg acted up. She was still tutoring in history, French, and ballet, but she wanted something new and exciting in her life. That was when she met Jeffery Martin, a local doctor at Wentworth hospital. She'd gone in for an appointment with her doctor and bumped into Jeffery in the hallway. It's rare for Jamie to be speechless by a man's looks, but with Jeffery she'd seemed to have forgotten all words. But she soon recovered and threw on her charm, and the two flirted and really hit it off. Jeffery hadn't asked to go any further physically, and Jamie had to admit that it was nice to be taking things slowly. Her past relationships always felt like the men were just using her. But with Jeffery she felt something different; she felt like he really cared for her. They didn't talk much about their pasts but that was just fine with Jamie; she didn't like to talk about it.
Now they were on a date at the bookstore, one of Jamie's favorite places, and Jamie was in the classic literature section. Hm, what book could she read now? She'd read a lot of classics, especially romance ones, but she was determined to read them all. An excited gasp escaped her lips when she noticed Nausea by Jean-Paul Sartre on the shelf. She took it and smiled; she'd been looking for this! Then she looked around the store and saw Jeffery. She smiled and kissed his nose before showing him the book she was going to get. "I've been wanting to read this book for a long time, and they have it! It's the only copy left. What are you going to get?" Her French accent oozed through her ruby red lips.
