Emma sighed as her foster mom dropped her off at the mall. She had an appointment with a therapist, as per her probation officer. If she didn't go to this therapist, then she was going to get sent back to juvie, there would be no way around it. Not this time. Emma turned around and watched as her foster mom drove off and she groaned. She really didn't want to go and see this shrink. She didn't need someone else to feel pity on her. She didn't want to open up to anyone because no one was safe, she didn't trust anyone. No matter who she told, it always ended up coming back to bite her in the butt. The last family that was looking at her, they found out about Liam and her story and they didn't want her because they were afraid that would happen to their older son. Emma made a vow that she would never, ever tell anyone about Liam, or what he did to her.
Emma entered the mall and she looked at the place her mom, foster mom, wrote down. She managed to find it in a timely fashion. She stopped at the Starbucks and grabbed a latte before entering the office. She looked around and she walked up to the desk. She signed in and sat down. She knew her probation officer set up the meeting so they were expecting her. She just didn't want to be there right now. Emma looked around the office while waiting for the therapist to come out. She knew how this was going to go. They were going to introduce each other and then the therapist was going to try to get her to open up and talk about what happened with Liam and how that's affecting her and blah blah blah. She was definitely not looking forward to it. If she had her choice, she wouldn't be sitting here right now. She sighed as she continued to sit there. What is taking this lady so long? Emma thought.
