She had been in Vegas for two weeks with Isabella but had been drinking for most of it. Of course she'd drank with Bella, but she also drank when Bella was either performing or asleep. Every other morning Victoria had woken up with a horrible hangover and had to have a drink in the morning just to get through the day. But it wasn't like she'd spent the whole time drinking and being hung over. She had had fun shopping with Bella and hanging out and touring Las Vegas. But they'd finished that pretty early in the trip and when there wasn't anything else to do Victoria gave into temptation. This was the worst it had ever been- the temptation. She had been horribly embarrassed when she told Isabella why she had to go back home, and something told her she shouldn't have. But the deed was done and here Victoria was, back in Rhode Island, going to club Fusion because the need to drink was too much. She didn't want to drink anymore... she had to, or else she couldn't function. She wondered how many people understood that is wasn't her fault. Surely Isabella wasn't an alcoholic and couldn't understand? That wasn't her fault but it still bugged Victoria despite the fact that she was her friend. But now it seemed like they were just going to be drinking buddies, especially if Bella didn't want to deal with Victoria afterwards. Right now Victoria wasn't going to let that bother her. She was going to try and have a good time despite the fact that her world was spinning out of control. She'd be careful and only have a few drinks; she wasn't going to get out of control this time. Her heels clicked as she walked into the club, completely not realizing that she'd taken her car. Hopefully when she realized it she would get a cab... Deciding it would better to sit in a booth instead of a bar, Victoria followed the hostess to a small booth that was kind of hidden from view; she didn't need to see anyone she knew here. Opening the menu to look at what few drinks she would get, Victoria was startled when she heard a familiar voice speak to her. It only took her a second to realize the voice sounded similar to her own. The menu had been covering her face and as it was slowly brought down Victoria's face came into view. Her eyes locked onto... Her own!? Whoa, had she already taken something? No, she didn't remember... She couldn't have; she wasn't feeling high. But why was she staring at her doppelgänger? Was the lighting correct? It was dark in the club so at first Victoria thought the waitress only looked slightly like her, but now that she looked more closely, it looked like the waitress was her... Only with darker hair. Victoria wondered briefly what the other woman must be thinking before just blurting out, "You look like me! Why do you look like me!?" Her British accent was thicker than ever since she was completely freaking out. |
