It had been awhile since their Valentine's Day date and there was still no kiss. Well, Trine had to admit that she kind of liked it. Usually guys rushed everything, but Loki seemed to be wanting to take things slowly. Maybe a little too slowly… All Trine wanted was a kiss, and she was determined to get it. During her lunch break she hopped on her bike and went to the place where Loki worked as a mechanic. Her hair was down and wavy due to the wind and it was almost like a great mane as her bike came to a stop in the parking lot. She took off her helmet and put it on the seat before standing straight to look for Loki. When she saw him, a smirk appeared on her face and she made a beeline straight for him. Trine had to admit that she liked that she was going to be the one to make their first kiss happen. It seemed to break the "fairy tale" kind of mold, and she loved it.
She strutted over to him, placed both hands on either side of his face, and planted a kiss right on his lips. She pulled away, feeling a bit breathless. "I've been missing that since Valentine's Day," she said quietly, unaware of the blush on her cheeks. Usually not one for "cutesy" couple stuff, Trine suddenly didn't find it odd that she wanted to press her forehead to Loki's. "So how's work?"

Valentine's Day seems like it was so long ago, but in reality it was more like two months. He's been extremely busy at the shop, now that he was a manager, although he still loved to get his hands dirty and could often be found under the body of a car or tinkering around in the hood of a car. This hot day, though, Loki was in and out of the office, working on cars. He had a customer that loved the work he did on cars and would only bring the car to the shop if Loki worked on the car. Loki agreed to work on the car, so this morning he did most of the office work, so this afternoon he was working on the car. Loki checked his phone and frowned when he saw no messages from Trine. Loki was planning on asking her to move in with him in the next couple of months, because he felt like they were headed in the right direction.
"Aw shit who called the cops?"one of Loki's workers mentioned while working on another car. Loki frowned and he stood up from the hood of his buddy's car. He looked over and he felt his stomach flip and his heart skip a beat at the sight of his girlfriend. He saw her walking towards him, her hair blowing in the wind. He wanted to run his hands through her hair and kiss her senseless but last time he was supposed to kiss her, he chickened out and never did. He watched her take both hands and plant a kiss right on his lips. He felt his breath leave his lungs as she kissed him. He was feeling breathless as she pulled away. He heard what she said and he saw the blush on her cheeks. He thought it was adorable. Loki placed a hand on her cheek and caressed it with his thumb. "That was better than I've ever imagined," Loki whispered. Loki heard what she said and he looked at her, "Work is work. How's work going for you?"

The tender way Loki responded to her made her nose crinkle in a playful manner. She wasn't used to a hand on her cheek but it was actually kind of nice. "Well I'm glad I'm better than something in your imagination," she said with a wink. She shrugged at his question. "Same. Nothing too exciting happening. Not since your case, anyway." She smiled at him as she remembered how they'd first met. He'd annoyed the life out of her because he was so much like her. She blinked and backed away slightly from Loki. "Um, Loki, this is gonna sound weird but… I think we need to get a blood test."

Things with Trine have been going great. He was really falling for her and he's never loved someone as much as he loved Trine. Her standing in front of him, made his realization of his love for her, that much more true. Especially since now he's felt her lips. "Well I'm glad that my case was interesting enough for you," Loki said letting his hand rest on her hips. But that split second of connection disappeared when she stepped back, away from him. "A blood test? What for?" Loki said looking back at the car he was working on.

If she and Loki were brother and sister Trine didn't know what she would do. For years she never wanted to fall in love and now suddenly she was. If anything got in the way and tried to ruin it, she'd fight back as much as possible. Well… We look alike, for one thing. And we act the same in so many ways; you might as well be the male version of me. You don't think that seems like an alarm? I don't want it to be true, really I don't -I doubt it is true- but we might be siblings..."

Loki listened to Trine and he frowned. Sure they did look alike and they act the same but he didn't think they were related. He believed it was just a coincidence and that they weren't related. Loki looked at the car he just finished up and then at his girlfriend. He slammed the hood of the car down and took her by the hand and dragged her into his office. He shut the door and locked it behind them. He pushed her up against the door and he pressed his lips onto hers, his left hand tangling in her hair and the other resting on her hip. He pulled away after a few minutes, breathless, his sweaty forehead resting on hers. "There is no way we are related but if it makes you feel better, then we can get a blood test," He whispered, breathing heavily.

Normally a sudden loud noise wouldn't make Trine even flinch. Her work as a spy/detective/part-time cop had built up her nerves even more (even when she was little she hardly got scared). But for some reason the slamming of the car hood made Trine jump. Probably because she'd been too worried already about the fact that she and Loki might be related. She realized it wasn't likely that they were siblings- her parents never led her to believe she had a long-lost brother or sister. But she didn't know many of her cousins... Ugh, she wrinkled her nose at the thought.
Loki's behavior was worrying Trine and causing her to get defensive. Was he mad at her? What reason in the world was there for him to be mad at her? Maybe he was mad at the situation and possibilities. Okay, this was different. She felt herself being pushed up against the door and she had to keep her defensive instincts from kicking in. She couldn't help but kiss back, running her fingers through his hair. She could say her peace after the kissing. Loki's words made Trine frown slightly. "How can you be so sure? I admire that about you." Her breath was coming out in small pants at the moment. With her work, Trine saw many weird and unexpected things happen, so she always prepared herself for the worst in any situation. This one was no different. She would not feel better until the blood test came back negative. She hated blood tests, though. A shiver ran through her at the thought of it.
She smirked. "This was unexpected. I thought you were made at me. But I really don't think this is the best place. There are windows."
ELLEN ELIZABETH WATSON: That sounds familiar. I used to be that way. I still am, but I've learned to let go a little.

EMMA GRACE DANVERS (GOODMAN): Alec is too good to me, how did I deserve him. I'm such a perfectionist that I am afraid to screw up

ELLEN ELIZABETH WATSON: Everyone screws up. I've screwed up so many times I can't even keep track, but you just have to pick yourself up and learn to forgive yourself which can be the hardest thing to do

EMMA GRACE DANVERS (GOODMAN): Thank you so much Ellen. I know Alec is there to encourage me, but sometimes I feel he's put me on this great mother pedestal. I'm afraid of screwing up.

ELLEN ELIZABETH WATSON: I wouldn't worry too much Emma. You're very maternal, something I never was, and I managed to do it alone. If you ever need to talk about parenting, I'm always here
Sept 18, 2013 22:10:52 GMT -5
EMMA GRACE DANVERS (GOODMAN): I'm just worried about being a good mother. Since my own mother is no longer here to advice me. I just want to do her proud *nervous look*
Sept 18, 2013 22:09:25 GMT -5
EMMA GRACE DANVERS (GOODMAN): well I think Alec will be worried when it comes to that age. He'll probably buy a shotgun and ward off any boy who comes a courting.

ELLEN ELIZABETH WATSON: -laughs- you don't have to worry about that for a while. I told Victoria when she was going into sixth grade, but I think it also depends on the child
