Faith. That's the one person that Daniel has wanted to see for the past 2 weeks that he's been out sick with pneumonia. The illness had been taking a toll on his body. The constant coughing has left him weak and his chest constantly hurting. At one point he began to cough up blood so his mom had to take him to the hospital. By the wishes of his parents, they asked Faith to stay away until he was better enough to see her and not be contagious. The entire time he was sick, his cell phone became his best friend. He was constantly texting Faith and making sure she understood how much he wanted to see her and how much it was killing him that he couldn't see her. See, Daniel was starting to feel more towards Faith than just a friend. Every time he was around her, he wanted to kiss her and he was afraid of doing that because if she didn't feel the same way, then he was going to ruin their friendship.
Daniel finally asked his mom if Faith could come over so she could help him with his school work. When his mom agreed, he couldn't have been happier. He quickly sent her a text saying that his mom said she could come over after school to help her. He hoped she would come over. He needed to see her. Daniel got up and jumped in the shower. He still had a fever that wouldn't break. But he was feeling a little bit better, for the time being. He knew by 8 oclock tonight he would be ready for bed. Daniel took a shower and brushed his teeth. He threw on a clean pair of sweats and a sweatshirt. He got out his school work and began to look over what he needed to do. It was a lot of work but he knew that his teachers understood. His body was just too weak for him to go to school all day, and he still had a nasty cough that he was working on getting rid of.
