Faith had just finished her classes. The sound of the final bell was music to her ears. To even the best students at school, the end of the day was anticipated and received with jovial cheers. It wasn't that she didn't like school, she did, but it was tedious sometimes. Faith liked learning things she found interesting and she especially liked to read. Most of her downtime was spent reading books that her class didn't read in English. In college, she wanted to be a literature major because she loved classics so much.
As she walked from the class building to her dorm, a light snow started falling. It was beautiful. Faith loved the winter, especially snow. It had always been her favorite time of year because it meant Christmas was right around the corner. It also meant she could make snowmen and have snowball fights. Even though she was in high school, she loved participating in her favorite childhood activities.
She changed out of her school attire into something more comfortable and threw a winter jacket on and a scarf and mittens. Faith wanted to go take a little walk around town while it was lightly snowing. Light snow was always fun to walk around in. It wasn't dangerous like heavy snow, and it was more interesting than walking around when it wasn't snowing. She packed a few books in her book bag before leaving her room.
She frolicked through the streets on her way to the park. It was the perfect reading outside weather. Once she got there she took a seat on the bench and opened up one of her books to start reading. There weren't too many people at the park because a lot didn't appreciate the beauty of the snow like she did. That was nice for her though because she essentially had the park all to herself.
Midway through a page her phone buzzed and she looked down to see who the text was. She put her book down when she saw it was Allison asking where she was. I'm at the park. she replied.
