Be still my heart 'cause it's freaking out, it's freaking out, right now
Though the beat was loud, and the sea of bodies that hoarded together on the dance floor looked as if it was one life form writhing in pain, one girl seemed to stand out apart from the rest. Even her own classmates wouldn't recognize her! Nicolette had fished her old party clothes out from the dusty end of her closet, and man did the way those torn old skinny jeans hug her hips draw attention. Purple top hung off one shoulder, tying and wrinkling the material across her form in what could only be described as sexy as hell. Though the five inch heels would probably be regretted by the end of the night, it had really pulled the whole look together. With normally curly locks straightened and makeup all-out in smoky perfection, she even felt like a different person.
One of the reasons she had always loved this scene, a few drinks to loosen up and the way the music just drove into someones core, it was such an invigorating feeling. This was her first true visit to Club Fusion, and thank the lord her fake idea had worked; lack of X's marked on hands meant she could order drinks, and that she would! Shifting through the crowd, arms held above head and torso twisting this way and that to squeeze in between bodies bumping and grinding, and she'd soon enough find herself at the bar. Fingers fished a few bucks out of her front pocket and handed them off to the bartender, ordering a beer. Not her favorite beverage, but it was a lot harder to slip a roofie into the top of one then it was a wide open class. The bloke was cute... blonde, muscular, with a charming smile, but her mind was elsewhere. She'd seen a girl entering, but soon lost track of her as she'd tried to make her way over and ask if she wanted to dance.
Maybe her gaydar was broken anyway, she never had had much luck with ladies, despite having a strong preference for them over men. Once change was returned, it would find it's way back into her jeans and the brunette turned her back against the bar. Milky chocolate eyes scanned the room again, hoping for just one glimpse of the girl of her dreams.
And there she was.
"Hey, 'tender.. another!" Second beer paid for, Nicolette was quick to weave her way back through the crowded room in the direction she'd seen her, hoping to catch up. Finally! She was within arms reach of a cute brunette, finger tapping lightly on her shoulder.
"You looked like you could use a drink, my treat." Thankfully the second one was still capped, so it wouldn't look like she was trying to slip her a tainted drink. Accompanying the offer with her most brilliant of smiles, she would wait for her to either take it or reject it before backing off. If she took the bait, and, you know, was into girls, she should follow! Nico had turned around and moved a few paces away, letting the music take hold of her body. It felt so natural to be dancing, even if she was alone! Didn't need a partner to know what you're doing, right? Hopefully she didn't look like a chicken flapping it's arms about in reality, because that would be incredibly embarrassing.
As much as she was hoping to gain the beautiful girl's attention, she wasn't going to let it ruin her night if nothing came of it. Wasn't like the goal of coming here had been to pick up girls.. no, it was to have a night away from the monotony of school life and find her element again. Being so hesitant to join or start a dancer group, she hadn't made much in the way of friends yet. Just let the music move your soul, Nicki, and the world will follow!
