Does their name have any special meaning: Bernard is the name of my favorite character from a show called Black Books. Bernard Falls and Bernard Black don't have very much in common. Does their name have any special meaning: Well liked how how a fancy name like Edmund Lucius Purcel could just be shortened to Ed. It reflects how simple Ed is. Also Purcel means swine herder. I liked how they could be rich and famous and still have a silly surname.
Does their name have any special meaning: Obviously Teddy Bersi, Teddy Bear. I think his parents had a sense of humor when they named him. Teddy can be a cuddly guy unless you get him mad, then he turns into a grizzly bear. Also his middle name, Erik, is the name of my favorite teddy bear's boyfriend when I was 3 XD

Nicknames: Nope, just Aria

Desires: To be on Broadway and escape her crazy family
Fears: Becoming insane and not getting into the college of her choice
Worst Memory: The day her mother forgot who she was
Best Memory: Her very first musical in seventh grade
Secrets: She hoards pills and secretly takes them when no one is looking
Favorite Smell: Lemons
Home Type: A relatively decent sized house in the suburbs. Her mother insisted that everything be tan, but Aria's room is painted a deep coral because tan is so boring
Hobbies: singing, writing, playing the piano
Favorite Food: anything Italian
Grades: 4.0. Studying is her existence
Ethnicity: Scottish and English
Accent: None, but sometimes she slips into a British accent because her father has one
Favorite Book: To Kill a Mockingbird
Favorite Movie: West Side Story
Favorite TV Show: Mad Men
Favorite Music/Song: Broadway stuff; her favorite song is On My Own from Les Mis, but when it comes to popular music she likes Coldplay
Does their name have any special meaning: Bartemius is an old family name. It's both his father's middle name and the name of his grandfather
Nicknames: Barty, that-crazy-guy. mad hatter, limey and due to an unfortunate missunderstanding with a great aunt; Bethany
Do they have pets at home: No. Barty was never allowed pets because he was never deamed responsible enough to keep them alive. He's always wanted a puppy though
Habits and Quirks: Where to start? Barty has a lot of nervous ticks that come out when he is feeling stressed or on edge including but not limited to: finger tapping, biting the sides of his fingers, licking his upper lip and eye twitching. He also cocks his head to the side a lot when thinking and wrinkles his nose when he finds something odd or distasteful
Desires: Barty hates normallity - he finds it boring and that's intollerable to him. He does occasionally wish he wasn't quite so unique however. He'd also love to find someone as odd as he to make friends with
Fears: Losing his mind completely
Worst Memory: The time he came home to find his mother in the middle of a psychotic break. This has happened a few times, but the very first was the worst - he came home from school to find her 'attacking' various hallucinations with a kitchen knife. She didn't recogise him and almost stabbed him before their cleaner heard his screams and interviened. It was after that Barty was first send to boarding school
Best Memory: The day he made his first real friend. As a young child Barty always scared those around him, however Reginald (Reggie) for reasons known only to himself decided to give him a chance, inviting him to play with he and his friends despite their reluctance. He and Barty became fast friends after that and he is one of the only people barty bothers to keep in contact with.
Secrets: Barty still doesn't really know if the monster under his bed back home is real, a hallucination or just some dumb childhood hang up. He still occasionally leaves it jammy dodgers as a peace offering just in case
Favorite Smell: Oranges
Home Type: A large, elaborate stately manor that was inherrited from his Grandfather. Barty hates it
religion: barty doesnt have a religion - he figures he has enough going on in his head already without pilling on eternal damnation or salvation
Hobbies: Barty loves to run and he loves to climb trees, however he will drop all that at the prospect of social interaction.
Favorite Food: chips (that is fries for the Americans) dipped in toffee yoghurt. Or roast potatoes and jam
Grades: (Sorry no idea what those numbers mean, we have a different system over here. Basically Barty is pretty intelligent and when he feels inclined he gets pretty good marks, however he is easilly distracted from studying and so he has a very spotty academic record)
Ethnicity: White English
Accent: English - Nottinghamshire
Favorite Book: Lord of the Flies
Favorite Movie: Pirates of the Carribean
Favorite TV Show: Dexter and Perception
Favorite Music/Song: White Stripes Denial twist
Favorite Possession: His chain necklace with a 'fang' attached. The fang is actually a bone carving, but he still likes it. He got it when he was thirteen and he rarely takes it off
Political Affiliation: Barty doesn't have a high opinion of American politics. Or British for that matter, but again he figures he has more important things to worry about in his own head than the state of the country
Post by RYKER LYDIA ARMITAGE on Oct 19, 2012 22:55:23 GMT -5
Does their name have any special meaning: Not really. The name "Ryker" was a variation from the name "Ryder" (which I heard off of Jersey Shore LOL.) Just googled it and it's a..boy's name so there's that.
Do they have pets at home: She has a mixed breed dog whom she adopted promptly after meeting at a fundraising event for an animal shelter.
Habits and Quirks: Her foods can't be touching. She always has to sleep on the side of a bed that's closest (or preferably touching) the wall. Chews the inside of her lip when thinking, upset, or concentrated.

Fears: Being outed/coming out to her family/friends (and being rejected).
Worst Memory: Sister's death, as well as the car accident.
Best Memory: Meeting Samantha Iris Cassidy. Family vacation to Hawaii.
Secrets: Her sexuality; other than that, she doesn't really believe that she has 'secrets'.
Favorite Smell: Autumn, rain, pumpkin, apple spice.
Home Type: A contemporary style home on the outskirts of a suburban region. (Not quite considered 'country', but not in a 'development', either.)
Religion: She doesn't practice, but does not consider herself atheist.
Favorite Food: Sushi.
Grades: Averages a 3.8.
Favorite Book: "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy, or "The Stand" by Stephen King.
Favorite Movie: Forrest Gump
Favorite TV Show: The Wire, Dexter, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Adventure Time (though she'll deny it if asked.)
Favorite Music/Song: "R.I.P (feat. Tinie Tempah)" - Rita Ora. Likes pop, rock, and indie the most, but will listen to anything once.
Does their name have any special meaning: It's been a MacNaught family tradition to give your kids "word names" since... well... for the last two generations, but it's a family tradition none the less.

Last Edit: Oct 24, 2012 17:03:36 GMT -5 by mothmark4
Does their name have any special meaning: Ursula means ‘She-bear’ or ‘Little-Bear’ which is very apt given her personality. She often thinks of herself as a mamma polar bear. Gorgeous and plain old dangerous to anyone dumb enough to upset her
Nicknames: Ursy (Teddy), Little-bear (her mother when she was a child), Ice-queen/bitch (at school)
Do they have pets at home: Nope. She does have a cute little puppy, but he’s in highchool now
Habits and Quirks: Ursula love nicknames. She dishes them out indiscriminately and will often assign people their own name in her vocabulary. Some like Sweetpea and Chickedee are general terms she uses for everyone, others like Teddy-bear/Snowflake/Marshmallow (all Teddy) are unique to the person she is talking to. She also is terrible for chewing pens whenever she concentrates
Desires: To make it as a model at last. For Thorne to believe she is remorseful about using him when they were younger and hurting him. And maybe… just a little… Thorne himself…? But that’s just because she hasn’t been laid in over six months and he’s the only eligible male around. Honestly. Just hormones. That’s all….
Fears: That Teddy, someone else close to her or even she herself will get ill again, and this time they wont be able to be cured. Also Hospitals in general. They just irrationally freak her out after so many childhood memories of being there waiting to hear about news of Teddy
Worst Memory: Being in the hospital as a child and overhearing the Doctor telling her father that Teddy might not make it through his most recent course of treatment.
Best Memory: When she left school and first moved into New York to try and start her modelling career. Everything had been so exciting, so bright and new and full of possibilities. That first month was one of the best times of her life. Then reality had kicked in
Secrets: Ursula openly scorns romance because she is too cynical on the matter to buy it. Or that’s what she claims. Secretly however she is addicted to musicals and dramatic romantic moves/books
Favorite Smell: Spices – particularly cinnamon, and white musk
Home Type: She lives in a bedsit near to the school. Despite only having two ‘rooms’ (open plan bedroom/sitting area/kitchenette and a bathroom) it is actually larger than the place she had in New York. Apparently walls take up a lot of space…
religion: Like her brother she was raised Protestant but she very quickly decided in life religion was not for her. Over the years she has claimed to be a great deal of things (atheist, Buddhist, etc) to wind up her conservative parents but mostly she prefers to focus on the here and now rather than think about what comes next. When upset however her mind naturally strays back to the concept of God and she has been known to pray. Even she doesn’t know how much of this is out of a lingering belief or just her falling back on childhood habits in times of stress
Hobbies: Shopping, swimming and dancing
Favorite Food: Pizza… It’s horribly high in calories and generally bad for you so she only indulges occasionally though
Grades: Ursula kept up fairly decent grades in school. Never the top of the class, but in the upper middle section. It’s debatable how much of those she actually earned though and how much she ‘acquired’
Ethnicity: Scandinavian descent (Norwegian specifically) but born and raised in the USA
Accent: Rhode Island
Favorite Book: Currently Fifty Shades of Grey and Wurthering Heights
Favorite Movie: 10 Things I Hate about You and somewhat bizarrely Repo the Genetic Opera
Favorite TV Show: Sex and the City (she loves Samantha and Miranda, although she gets very annoyed with Charlotte and Carrie)
Favorite Music/Song: I’m a Bitch, I’m a Lover by Meredith Brooks and anything by Alanis Morrisette
Favorite Possession: Her silver bear necklace she received a few years ago from her parents as a 21st present
Political Affiliation: Democratic
Favorite Color: Blue. Ursula likes all shades of blue from frosty, almost white to dark navy. She looks helluva good in blue and knows it
Does their name have any special meaning: Claudia is generally a name that would describe a woman who's beautiful but doesn't really realize it - and she tends to be that way. And Pilar is like a 'pillar' or 'pedestal' in English, and she tends to be put on one of those by her children, by the students she counsels, etc. Yes, I gave her those names intentionally.
Nicknames: None. Although Silas called her Claud once and she didn't like it
Do they have pets at home: Six dogs (3 bulldogs, 1 long-haired Chihuahua, 1 Dachshund, and 1 Papillon), a parrot, and a turtle
Habits and Quirks: Tends to stumble over her words when she's nervous or trying to avoid things... and she tends to avoid things that make her feel uncomfortable
Desires: For her children to be happy and healthy; for her husband to be alive again; and maybe for Silas... but she keeps battling herself over that
Fears: Losing one of her kids
Worst Memory: The phone call letting her know that her husband had been in a car accident and died. Worst thing ever.
Best Memory: Lots of things... her wedding day, the birth of her first three children (the fourth took place after her husband had died, so she was like... "NOOOOO I NEED HIM HERE WITH ME")
Secrets: She attempted to kill herself,
Favorite Smell: Peppermint, men's cologne
Home Type: Average middle-class house with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room, and a large yard for the dogs to run around.
Religion: Brown and raised Catholic, but she doesn't really observe any of those practices.
Hobbies: Cooking, playing guitar and piano, spending time with her children
Favorite Food: Chocolate
Grades: Very good when she was in school - from high school all the way through getting her PhD
Ethnicity: She was born in Cuba, raised in Miami. She considers herself Cuban-American
Accent: Her accent is neutral, and it's not obvious that her first language was not English. However, when she gets upset or angry or frustrated, her accents will collide - and so will the languages.
Favorite Book: Where the Wild Things Are (probably because Grace wants her to read it aaaaallllll the time)
Favorite Movie: She doesn't really have one
Favorite TV Show: She doesn't have one
Favorite Music/Song: Bridge Over Troubled Water, by Simon and Garfunkel
Favorite Possession: Well, it used to be the pair of shirts that she kept following her husband's death, but they lost their smell and now she doesn't like them as much anymore. But she really cherishes her wedding ring/band... even though she hasn't been wearing them lately.
Political Affiliation: She is not affiliated with either side. And even if she were, she wouldn't voice that
Favorite Color: Black - it's professional, neutral, matches with everything, and everyone looks good in black
ELLEN ELIZABETH WATSON: That sounds familiar. I used to be that way. I still am, but I've learned to let go a little.
Sept 18, 2013 22:33:39 GMT -5
EMMA GRACE DANVERS (GOODMAN): Alec is too good to me, how did I deserve him. I'm such a perfectionist that I am afraid to screw up
Sept 18, 2013 22:30:10 GMT -5
ELLEN ELIZABETH WATSON: Everyone screws up. I've screwed up so many times I can't even keep track, but you just have to pick yourself up and learn to forgive yourself which can be the hardest thing to do
Sept 18, 2013 22:28:38 GMT -5
EMMA GRACE DANVERS (GOODMAN): Thank you so much Ellen. I know Alec is there to encourage me, but sometimes I feel he's put me on this great mother pedestal. I'm afraid of screwing up.
Sept 18, 2013 22:25:29 GMT -5
ELLEN ELIZABETH WATSON: I wouldn't worry too much Emma. You're very maternal, something I never was, and I managed to do it alone. If you ever need to talk about parenting, I'm always here
Sept 18, 2013 22:10:52 GMT -5
EMMA GRACE DANVERS (GOODMAN): I'm just worried about being a good mother. Since my own mother is no longer here to advice me. I just want to do her proud *nervous look*
Sept 18, 2013 22:09:25 GMT -5
EMMA GRACE DANVERS (GOODMAN): well I think Alec will be worried when it comes to that age. He'll probably buy a shotgun and ward off any boy who comes a courting.
Sept 18, 2013 22:08:32 GMT -5
ELLEN ELIZABETH WATSON: -laughs- you don't have to worry about that for a while. I told Victoria when she was going into sixth grade, but I think it also depends on the child
