After a long day of unpacking boxes Alexis was glad to have a break. Though she loved her mother and baby sister she needed some time away from them and she had not yet been able to explore the area. She threw on a clean blue tank top and tight fitting jeans with a pair of black sandals along with the necklace her best friend Kyle had given her before she grabbed her bag and left.
After wandering for around half an hour she found herself at the beach. It was beautiful. The way the not quite setting sun sparkled on the dancing water was captivating. She had always loved the ocean, especially when the sun was within an hour or two of decorating the sky with beautiful shades of pink, red, orange, yellow, and purple. Pulling out her phone she took a picture and sent it to Kyle. She wished that he could be here but with his college studies that was not a current option.
The beach was not too crowded at the moment so she decided to stay. She dropped her bag in the sand next to her before sitting on the sand. She closed her eyes as she leaned back, keeping herself propped up on her elbows. It was not long before she was lost in thought, unable to keep from thinking about her life in France, what she left behind, and her father.
She did not know how long she had been sitting there, lost in her own mind, when someone approached her, blocking the sun. She opened her eyes to see who it was, though knew that it would not be someone she knew. " Hello. May I help you?" She asked curiously, her French accent obvious. She was a bit annoyed due to the fact they were blocking the sun from shining down on her face but did not let it show.
