" This is Hannah Grayson. Yes, thank you Richard for returning my call. I understand that there was a problem with the catering. I hope that it was settled, and that a new menu has been drawn up," said Hannah over the phone. She rubbed her temples and took a deep breath. The charity gala at the Met that her parents put on every year was less than three months away. She was the chairman to make sure that it is done without a hitch, and to make it THE event of the year. She felt the burden of planning such a feat starting to weigh down on her. This is her first year heading up the project since her father stepped down as chairman of such an event. He felt that Hannah was perfect for the job, and had high hopes for her, but Hannah felt that he put too much hope in her. She was determined to make her father proud of her, and do good by the Grayson name. " Sounds perfect, I'm sure that will be more than enough. I just got the invoice from the Met, and they have agreed to settle for the price that we wanted. I have a few bands and singers for the entertainment in line. Unfortunately Tony Bennett was unable to make it, but I'm sure our lineup will work just as well. Thank you for handling things over in New York. I'll be down a month before the gala to make sure everything is still in order. I shall be in touch," she said and hung up.
She hung up the phone and sighed. Just three more months, that's all she had left, and then there's the planning for the next years event. Hannah's father was a big believer in giving back to the city that he so dearly loved. This years charity was for the arts program in the local schools. Hannah herself loved theater, and understood the goodness of a good arts program. It brought out the potential in every student. She took a long drink of her latte, and placed the cup back into it's saucer. Stifling a yawn, she looked back at the screen of her laptop, and browsed the web for some ideas.
