Jen pouted at his answer. She had gotten her hopes up that he’d actually go to a One Direction concert. “Oh, of course. It’s completely normal to practice being surrounded by fangirls before you’re famous. Have you been practicing your autograph and smile too?” She asked jokingly. Braedon didn’t seem like the type of guy who would obsess about things that came with fame, so she wasn’t too worried about him, but fame changes people, so she would keep an eye on him and if his ego did get too big she wouldn’t hesitate to burst his bubble. “Woah, woah, woah. Just because you don’t know any straight guys who like One Direction doesn’t mean that there aren’t any out there! And those fathers are probably all closet directioners fangirling as much as their daughters!” Dads who had daughters always seemed to pick up a liking for something that their daughters enjoyed.
She grinned when he started to shake his head and smile. Abandoning her cart, Jen went and grabbed a bag of chocolate chips and then returned to where Braedon was standing. Taking hold of her cart once again, Jen steered it to an empty checkout line and started to place items on the conveyor belt. Soon her cart was empty and the cashier had started to slide items over the scanner, placing them in bags straight after. “We have enough money for everything, right?” Jen asked Braedon as she watched the total grow.
“Na-uh” she said while shaking her head no. “Everyone has an accent that is slightly different, so I would be hearing a different one all the time!” Jen explained excitedly. “Why can’t I have an accent that sounds cool?” She knew she had an accent, but she couldn’t hear it, it was just normal to her.
